About EVO France
Evo France is the European offshoot of the Evolution Championship Series, the open-entry fighting-game tournament that grew out of the 1996 Battle by the Bay and is best known for its annual championship in Las Vegas. The French event was announced during Evo 2024 and became the series' second overseas spin-off after Evo Japan. As at every Evo, the brackets are open to anyone who registers and run as double elimination, so first-time entrants can land in the same pools as world champions.
The first Evo France ran October 10-12, 2025 at the Palais des Expositions in Nice with seven main games. Pakistan's Arslan Ash won Tekken 8 for his seventh Evo title, South Korea's LeShar took Street Fighter 6, and China's Xiaohai won Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The 2026 edition returns to the same venue on October 9-11 with eight games, adding 2XKO, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls to a lineup led by Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8.
