About MPL Philippines (Mobile Legends)
MPL Philippines is Moonton's top-flight Mobile Legends: Bang Bang league for the Philippines and one of the three original MPL circuits, launched in 2018 alongside MPL Indonesia and MPL MY/SG. It plays two seasons a year and has run as a franchise league with eight partner teams since Season 8 in 2021. Filipino clubs have made it the strongest league in the game: MPL PH teams won every M-series World Championship from M2 through M7, a sixth straight crown sealed when Aurora Gaming PH swept Alter Ego 4-0 at M7 in Jakarta in January 2026.
Team Liquid PH, which entered the league as Echo Philippines, is the most decorated organization with five titles. Its Season 17 win in May 2026, a 4-2 grand final over Team Falcons PH in San Juan with Sanford named Finals MVP, made it the first club to win three MPL PH championships in a row. Season 18 opened on August 21, 2026 at the Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City, and its playoffs move to PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on October 21-25, where the champion and runner-up earn spots at the M8 World Championship in Istanbul in January 2027.
